Tired Eyes Don't See the Details I'm a friend of bad guys and brokers, and a few fire strokers, but I know I'll find my way.

The Runner.

A runner made a sharp turn
to the right,
he cared not for love,
he cared not for spite,
a nickel and some pennies was all he worked for,
but he was the richest man in the world,
and so much more.

(chorus)
Oh, nothing is everything,
and everything’s pointless,
when you’re the richest man in the world,
and you’re still coinless.
Everything is relative,
yet so unconnected,
that’s why all that’s imperfect
is so overprotected, yeah

the runner turned around,
and low and behold,
all his nickels and pennies did turn to gold,
he knew himself to be poor,
but what did he care?
for lifes not worth anything
if you arent in some way rare, so

you see, nothing is everything,
and everything’s pointless,
when you’re the richest man in the world,
and you’re still coinless.
Everything is relative,
yet so unconnected,
that’s why all that’s imperfect
is so overprotected, yeah

the runner found his own way
and began jogging
not striding, not strutting,
not power walking,
he slowed down even more,
when he saw the meaning
of everything and nothing
and all thats in between

Hey, nothing is everything,
and everything’s pointless,
when you’re the richest man in the world,
and you’re still coinless.
Everything is relative,
yet so unconnected,
that’s why all that’s imperfect
is so overprotected, yeah
